Double Feature: "Hollywoodland" and "Hail, Caesar!"

Eddie Mannix is a complicated historical figure who becomes increasingly interesting as you learn more about his life. Several films have tried to encapsulate and explain his role with MGM, as a general manager and comptroller, but it’s difficult. To come out and say what he did, and to who, and why, is still tricky business, even if his reign ended some fifty years ago with his 1963 death.

Look Who's Back

Xenophobia is one of the most powerful and least productive biases in the modern world. Though it has no place in our society, and has been known to be destructive via strong inalienable hate, it is a common vice among many Americans and Europeans alike.

Great News

I literally busted out laughing multiple times during the pilot as well as the second episode entitled “Bear Attack.” The humor is both weird and observational via the mother-daughter relationship.
